Your brain’s health is, amongst other things, determined by a wide range of lifestyle factors as well as what foods you eat.

Some of the essential nutrients our brains need to thrive are:

  1. Replacement fats: particularly two specific types of omega 3 fatty acids called DHA and EPA.
  2. B complex vitamins: which are essential for the nervous system as B vitamins help prevent fatigue induced by a stressful life.
  3. Antioxidants: In the form of blueberry polyphenols and vitamins E, C, and A impact learning, concentration, and memory across all ages.

Your nutrition can be influenced by a huge number of factors we’re not measuring, such as your genetics, stress, gut microbiome, sleep, and much more. 

Whilst we can't control for the above we can look at how your diet is impacting your brain, as well as the behaviours in your control, which have been shown to influence brain health. 

The Brain Nutrition Assessment was designed by our Head of Nutritional Research, Sophie Medlin, to provide a quick indicator of whether or not you are feeding your brain.
